So, here we are, in the home stretch again. Touch opens in a little over 48 hours. To continue our extended metaphor: the soup is ready, and now we are all frantically working on the garnish.
This is the time of odds and ends. The time when the “etc.” at the bottom of the list gets articulated into a million little tasks – last-minute details of design and front-of-house, steaming curtains, lobby music, selecting production photos for press, getting change for the box office, what are we doing with the extra stones, can we fit an extra seat in that row, and oh my, where can we get more tea lights? The lists seem to grow like heads on a Hydra; for every item you cross off, two more spring to life. It’s invigorating and inspiring and stressful and it makes us crazy and we love it.
